KES Technical-Support Volunteer

Help KES participants get unblocked — setup, Python, GitHub, terminal, and environment issues.

Overview

KES technical-support volunteers keep cohorts moving by helping participants resolve setup and environment problems quickly and kindly, during live delivery windows.

Responsibilities

  • Assist participants with Python, GitHub, terminal, and environment setup.
  • Triage and resolve common blockers during sessions.
  • Escalate recurring issues to facilitators.

Required Skills

  • Comfort with Python tooling, Git, and the command line.
  • Patience and clear, supportive communication.
  • Availability during the cohort delivery window.

Helpful Skills

  • Prior facilitation or teaching-assistant experience.

What You Will Learn

  • Stronger teaching and debugging-communication skills.
  • A recognised contribution to a live KES cohort.

Expected Deliverables

  • Responsive support across the cohort's delivery window.
