Overview

Mentors provide perspective, encouragement, and technical or professional guidance to KES participants and emerging engineers, on a flexible, low-but-consistent commitment.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with mentees to discuss progress and challenges.
  • Review projects and provide structured, kind feedback.
  • Share practical guidance from your own engineering experience.

Required Skills

  • Real-world experience in an engineering or technical field.
  • Empathy and a genuine interest in developing others.
  • Consistent availability across a cohort.

Helpful Skills

  • Prior mentoring, teaching, or coaching experience.

What You Will Learn

Expected Deliverables

  • Regular mentoring sessions and project feedback across the period.
